Training on demand

Most our training programmes are developed on demand in close consultation with our clients. Furthermore, you can register for our training programmes at Courses 2007.

 We offer different types of programmes:

• Training courses generally last one or two weeks covering topics such as decentralisation, municipal management, citizen participation and service provision. Other possible topics include courses on monitoring local government projects and ‘train the trainer’ programmes.
• Study visits focus on field visits, exchanging experiences and discussing cases. Specific themes such as urban planning, waste management, local health care, economic development or public-private partnerships are offered in training courses as well as in study visits.
• Masterclasses are two day sessions on special topics such as crisis management, city diplomacy and municipal international cooperation.

Field visits are organised to various cities in Europe. Together with our partners MEPCO and CMRA in the Czech Republic and South Africa, we can organise study visits and follow-up training outside Europe as well
