General conditions

Payment

After receiving your application form, we will send you an invoice for an advance payment of 50% of the course fee. Your application to the course will only be final after receipt of the advance payment. Upon receipt of the advance payment you will get a letter confirming your participation in the course.

The advance payment should be transferred at least three months before the training starts to the following bank account:

We also offer the possibility of paying by credit card. Should you wish to pay this way, please indicate so on your application form and you will receive an e-mail with further details on this.
The remaining second 50% of the course fee should be received by The Hague Academy one month before the start of the course.

Please note that the course fee does not include travel to and from The Netherlands nor accommodation expenses and that you should make own arrangements for that.

Cancellation

For cancellation between three months and one month before the course starts 50% of the fee will be charged. For cancellations within one month before the course starts the 70% will be charged. In case of cancellations, a suitably qualified replacement may attend the course instead of the registered person without extra charge.

The Hague Academy for Local Governance deserves the right to cancel a course in case there are not enough participants or due to any other unforeseen circumstances. In this case your payments done thus far will be reimbursed.

Visa

For some countries a visa is compulsory. Please check with The Netherlands Embassy or representative for visa requirements in your country. Please make sure to start your procedure on time as this may take a while. Once payment has been received on the bank account of The Hague Academy you will receive a final acceptance letter. With this letter you can go to the Embassy and arrange your visa.

Documents

Documents to be send by e-mail (digital copy) or regular mail to The Hague Academy:

• Letter of employer if course fee is covered by employer or letter of sponsoring agency;
• Copy of passport.

The Hague Academy for Local Governance has made price arrangements with a number of hotels in The Hague. For more information about prices and locations, please have a look at the training brochure for the course you applied for.
